Day 621
1 documented win
$90 Medicare payments for 20 million
The win
Trump announced one-time payments of $90 to more than 20 million Medicare Part B enrollees, paid from the $2 billion Medicare Improvement Fund. No administration had used that fund for payments before. The money was set for early October by direct deposit, or by check if there is no direct deposit. People whose premiums Medicaid already pays, and people who pay the higher income-related premium, do not get the $90.
For Americans
This is one payment toward the premium, not a permanent cut in the Part B price. A senior who qualifies sees $90. A senior on Medicaid or paying the income surcharge does not.
