$15 billion Iowa steel mill announced
The win
The White House announced a $15 billion Mesabi Metallics steel mill in Iowa, to use iron ore from the company’s Minnesota mine, which the release calls newly opened. The company projects 1,750 permanent Iowa jobs, up to 6,000 construction jobs, and about $95 billion in economic output over the next decade.
