Gaza peace summit in Sharm El Sheikh
The win
A ceasefire-and-hostages deal was signed and a summit convened in Egypt. Remaining living hostages came home under the Trump plan. Trump addressed the Knesset, then signed at Sharm El Sheikh — Fox called it the deal that achieved the impossible.
For Americans
American families who pray for Israel, and anyone who pays for gas when the Strait of Hormuz rattles, just got the first real pause in a grinding war. Peace in that theater is a grocery-ticket story as much as a diplomatic one.
